In spite of an impressive second run (2nd best time), French Julien Lizeroux missed the Globe of the discipline for few hundredths, finishing 4th in the last slalom of the season.
Arrived in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2nd position at the Slalom World Cup standings by 43 points behind of the leader Reinfried Herbst, he finishes the season with 22 points from the Austrian winner but has no regret about his great winter on the World Cup Tour.
Indeed, the skier from La plagne, who was 3rd last year is nevertheless very happy about his season.
“After my first run, I had just the envy to give it all in the second one, to ski as best as I can. I think that I made again a great run but it’s not enough for the Globe. The most important is that I have no regret. For sure, there is a little bit of disappointment, but I am proud of my accomplishments this winter. Now, I just want to congratulate Reinfried for his title cause he has been the best slalom skier of the season.”
“This experience gives me a lot and after a little break, I will be even more motivated for next season. This has been a great winter for me. I made a lot of progress and gained maturity.  I forged my character in the difficulty so I know that nothing is easy to obtain but this gives me strength and motivation to try to be n°1.”
